The third episode of the drama “Uncontrollably Fond” on Wednesday featured another flashback, this time to a car accident involving No Eul (Suzy) that had Shin Joon-young (Kim Woo-bin) worried in tears.
The episode wound the clock back to 2011, where a law student Shin’s affection toward No was shown through his heartfelt prayer for her.
The gist behind No’s accident was her anger toward Shin’s father, Choi Hyeon-joon (Yu Oh-seong), who was a prosecutor running for the National Assembly.
On seeing Choi entering a hostess bar No, furious about Choi’s refusal to help resolve a false accusation against her father, secretly filmed him, planning to release the footage and ruin his reputation.

Shin found out about this and set out to snatch evidence from No, posing as a motorcyclist with a helmet that covered his face.
Shin succeeded in grabbing No’s bag but as No chased him she was hit by a car.

No was rushed to surgery while Shin waited outside the room, praying for No.

“Please god, save No Eul. If you save her, I will give up my happiness and will readily sacrifice my life. Take my life away, not hers,” Shin prayed in tears.
The KBS series “Uncontrollably Fond” airs every Wednesday and Thursday at 10 p.m.
