The complicated relationship between character Shin Joon-young and No Eul of TV drama “Uncontrollably Fond” was revealed to the audience in Thursday’s second episode, which time-slipped to the characters’ high school days.

Shin Joon-young, played by actor Kim Woo-bin, grew up without knowing he was the illegitimate child of a celebrated prosecutor until he became a high school student.

After finding this out from his maternal uncle, who accidentally lets the information slip, Shin aspires to become a prosecutor too, in order to be acknowledged by his father, who is completely unaware of Shin’s existence.

On the other hand, No Eul, played by actress Bae Suzy, grew up with only her single father, who was a street food vendor.

Even in her difficult situation, No had a naturally bright and caring heart and looked out for everyone around her in high school.

Tragedy strikes her however, when her father is killed in a hit-and-run accident.

No witnesses the entire accident and sees that the perpetrator is a wealthy woman driving an expensive imported car.

No is set on finding the culprit behind her father’s death, but is intercepted by Shin’s birth father, the prosecutor, who has personal ties with the hit-and-run driver.

Without knowing each other’s family backgrounds, Shin and No fall in love as high school students.
