The new KBS television series “Uncontrollably Fond” is set to air in 11 countries, according to the show’s production company Samhwa Networks at a press conference on Monday.

Samhwa Networks has sold the show’s broadcasting rights to Youku Tudou, one of China’s biggest online video platforms, for approximately 280 million won ($250,000) per episode. The hit series “Descendants of the Sun” was sold to iQIYI, China’s largest online streaming website, for a similar amount.

In addition, “Uncontrollably Fond” is scheduled to air on television in Taiwan and Hong Kong.

Touted to be the next “Descendants of the Sun” by media and K-drama fans, the series revolves around the romance that unfolds when two childhood friends, Shin Joon-young, played by actor Kim Woo-bin, and No Eul, played by singer-actress Bae Suzy, get reacquainted as successful but flawed professionals.

“Uncontrollably Fond” will air on KBS2 every Wednesday and Thursday at 10 p.m., from July 6. It is scheduled to run until Sept. 8.
