International girl group Cosmic Girl clinched the Rookie of the Year Award at the “Special M! Countdown in China” event Saturday.

Cosmic Girl performed their debut song “Momomo” at the show taking place in Shanghai Mercedes-Benz Arena in China.

“I was honored to perform onstage with many more music groups who represent Korea or China. I appreciate this award,” the group, made up of Chinese and Korean members, told fans through a press release Monday.

Special M! Countdown in China was sponsored by Mnet, the broadcaster of “M! Countdown,” which is set to air the show on Thursday in Korea. Top-tier musicians from Korea such as Sistar, BTOB, FT Island, T-Ara, GFriend, Fiestar and VIXX, and musicians from China such as Gui Gui, Jolin Tsai, Chris Lee and SNH48 will feature.
