f(X) Krystal heralds kickoff of ‘Graduation Season’

The line between K-pop singers and actors is getting thinner with time, and girl group f(X) member Krystal has announced she has begun work on upcoming Chinese drama, “Graduation Season.”

The press conference for the forthcoming project was held on Wednesday in China and the male lead, Chinese actor Deng Lun stood beside Krystal in announcing the start of production.

The drama is expected to be a coming-of-age story of the post-1990s generation aspiring and struggling to work in the fashion industry after graduation.

Following the event, Krystal posted a black and white selfie and a comment via Weibo expressing gratitude toward her fans. “I was able to successfully wrap up today’s press conference and first day on set due to your support! Thank you very much for always cheering me on.”

The details on the time slot and network are still under wraps. Krystal will also star opposite agency colleague, boy band EXO’s Lay in Chinese film, “Unexpected Love” -- booked for release in 2016.
