BTS’ ‘Fire’ music video draws 10m YouTube hits

Seven-member boy band BTS’ new song “Fire” has attracted more than 10 million YouTube views as of 3 a.m. on Thursday, according to its home agency Big Hit Entertainment Thursday.

The music video of the track, which is on its album “The Most Beautiful Moment in Life, Young Forever,” was released on Sunday on two YouTube channels at midnight. The videos attracted 3,870,823 viewers on Big Hit Entertainment’s official YouTube account and 6,163,608 hits on 1theK’s Youtube channel, making the total number of hits 10,034,431.

The electro-trap tune has gained huge momentum. The music video released at the channels garnered 1 million views six hours after the worldwide release and topped 3 million hits in seven hours later.

The boy band will hold a concert in Seoul in Seoul Olympic Gymnasium on May 7 and 8, and is poised to kick off an Asia tour to cities in China, Japan, Taiwan, Thailand and the Philippines from June to August.
