Akdong Musician (AKMU) of YG Entertainment swept local charts with their new album “Spring Vol.1” released at midnight on Tuesday.

As of 8 a.m., the album’s title song “RE-BYE” topped all eight main music charts including Naver Music, Melon, Mnet, Bugs, and more. Following the lead, other tracks from the album such as “How people move” also ranked high on the list.

AKMU’s album “Spring Vol.1” once again successfully portrayed the sentiments that arise during our everyday lives, but in a unique manner that could only be pulled off by the musician sibling.

The album’s hit is far more special for the two than usual, as it is the younger member Soo-hyun’s birthday on May 4.

The duo will perform a mini concert for their new album at an outdoor stage in Seoul Forest on Thursday.
