Taeyeon of Girl‘s Generation spoke out against repeated anonymous calls from her fans, posting her thoughts on the matter on her Instagram account.

She uploaded a picture showing the list of recent calls, which was filled with anonymous calls or unknown calls from fans abroad.

“This is not good for either of us,” she said, adding, “I will erase this post soon, as it’s not a very happy one. Good night to everyone.”

The ones making the calls are assumed to be a few of her fans referred to as “sasaeng fans.” “Sasaeng” roughly means “private life,” reflecting that these types of fans follow their favorite celebrities wherever they go, find out their personal information or make attempts to contact them. Sasaeng fans have had a long history with the Korean entertainment industry, with many K-pop groups suffering similar issues.

Meanwhile, Girl‘s Generation members have been actively engaged in solo activities, with Taeyeon releasing a song for bottled water brand Jeju Samdasoo on Tuesday.
