Korean drama series “Descendants of the Sun” is garnering the attention of international media, with British broadcaster BBC featuring it in an article on its website on March 27.

The article titled “Descendants of the Sun: the Korean military romance sweeping Asia” delves into the drama’s popularity.

It talks about how the drama series’ plot is not the typical “Cinderella story,” but also has military elements. It also mentioned how the show’s characters are unique as the lead roles feature a high-ranking military officer and a philanthropic doctor.

The article also highlights how a Chinese woman almost went blind while binge-watching the show, and another bizarre incident in which a drunk man stormed into a photography studio, demanding that the owner take pictures of him in such a way that he would resemble Song Joong-ki, the lead actor in “Descendants of the Sun.”
