‘Marriage Contract’ stays at the top

MBC drama series “Marriage Contract” protected its top viewership ranking on Saturday.

Viewership shares for Saturday’s episode hit 18.4 percent nationwide, according to Nielsen Korea on Sunday. The figure was a slight decrease of 0.9 percentage points from the previous episode on March 20.

Other main broadcasters’ drama series, KBS 1TV “Jang Young-sil” reached 10.2 percent, despite airing its finale, while SBS “Mrs. Cop 2” flopped with a viewership share of 7.6 percent.

The seventh episode included the start of a romance between two main characters, Han Ji-hoon (Lee Seo-jin) and Kang Hye-soo (Uee).

The 16-episode series started off with a viewership share of 17.2 percent, and has topped the ratings for three consecutive weekends.
