Happy Face Entertainment, Korean girl group Dalshabet’s agency, said Sunday those spreading malicious rumors that the group’s member Subin is involved in a recent celebrity prostitution scandal will face consequences.

The agency said in a press release that Subin and her family members are “deeply humiliated by a series of groundless rumors.”

The management company added it will “take swiftest legal action possible” against anyone engaged in fabricating or spreading the rumor.

Local media outlets reported that four were summoned and questioned by prosecutors last week with the allegation that they were engaged in selling sex. After the news, a list of celebrities who had commercial sex went viral through social network in Korea. The post alleged that Subin was likely one of them.

JYP Entertainment, a major record company that houses Yubin of Wonder Girls, was the first to stand against the rumor. It vowed to track malicious Internet users and punish them in a press release on Saturday.

Subin, 22, made her debut in 2011 as a member of girl group Dalshabet. The group made a comeback in January 2016 after a nine-month hiatus.
