Do Kyung-soo, better known as D.O. of boy band EXO, appeared on the V app Wednesday evening with other cast members of “Pure Love” and talked about his heartbreaking first love.

“I haven’t forgotten my first love,” said D.O. on the special movie talk. “To be honest, I still don’t really get the meaning of ‘first love.’”

“There were more heartbreaking memories than happy ones. I think that’s why it is hard to forget,” he said.

“Yes, I was dumped,” he confessed.

“Pure Love,” directed by Lee Eun-hee, is a story of friendship growing into first love between Beom-sil, played by D.O., and Soo-ok, played by Kim So-hyun, against the backdrop of a rural seaside area. The film stars with someone sharing a letter from 23 years ago, taking viewers back and forth between past and present.

Rookies Yeon Jun-seok, David Lee and Joo Da-young will also star in the film, alongside established actors Park Yong-woo, Lee Beom-soo and Kim Ji-ho.

“Pure Love” opened in theaters Wednesday.
