SM Entertainment’s predebut performance team composed of talented trainees -- “SM Rookies” --hosted their first successful overseas concert in Thailand on Feb. 14.

The concert titled “SM Rookies Show,” was also held in South Korea and created a buzz among the K-pop industry due to the fact that trainees -- who were usually kept in the dark before debut -- began performing publically. The tickets for their Thailand concert were sold-out within five minutes and fans’ heated reaction to their arrival at local airport proved their international popularity.

The trainees performed hit songs of their company’s artists such as EXO’s “Call Me Baby,” and TVXQ’s legendary debut song, “Hug.”
Covers of 20 different tracks from various SM Entertainment artists filled the stage for approximately 90 minutes.

SM Rookies also prepared a special Valentine’s Day event, where they walked up to the audience to hand out chocolates -- this made fans go wild with excitement.

At the press conference prior to the concert, 200 reporters from top news corporations in Thailand came to cover their performance, which drew further attraction.
