Vocalist Gummy successfully kicked off her 2016 national tour “Feel the voice” in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province, on Saturday.

The 34-year-old singer’s unique rhythm and blues style mesmerized the 1,800-large audience that filled Seongnam Art Center’s Opera House, according to her agency C-Jes Entertainment.

“Gummy received a big round of applause at the end of each song,” the agency said Saturday. “The audience comprised fans from various age groups, from teenagers to those in their 60s.”

She not only performed her own hit songs, such as “No,” “Please Forget Me,” “If you come back to me,” but also songs she performed in TV competition programs such as “King of Mask Singer” and “Immortal Songs.”

Basick, the winner of rapper competition program “Show Me the Money” in the fourth season, appeared as guest onstage. Gummy featured in Basick’s final stage performance in 2015.

Having debuted in 2003, the veteran rhythm and blues musician gained popularity with her second album’s title song “Memory Loss” in 2004, claiming awards at Golden Disk Awards and Mnet Km Music Festival.

Her next stop will be Gwangju City, in southwestern Korea on Feb. 20, to be followed by concerts in Daegu and Busan. Gummy will end her tour in Seoul in March. Tickets for Daegu, Busan and Seoul concerts are available online at ticket operator Interpark, while tickets for Gwangju concert have already sold out.
