Kris Wu, a former member of K-pop boy band EXO, has been chosen to star alongside Hollywood actor Vin Diesel in “xXx: The Return of Xander Cage.” The new film will be an addition to the famous “Triple X” franchise, best known as the action series that catapulted its lead actor, Vin Diesel, to fame.

Kris recently posted a photo of himself and Vin Diesel on his Instagram account, announcing the news of their collaboration to fans.

The director of the flick, D.J. Caruso commented on Twitter that Kris’s role would be crucial within the plot.

This movie is not Kris’s first foray into Hollywood territory. He has also been cast in renowned director Luc Besson’s new film, which is in production.

“xXx: The Return of Xander Cage” featuring Vin Diesel and Kris Wu is set to premiere in December 2017.
