Korean actress Park Shin-hye appeared at the film preview of “Dong-ju: The Portrait of Poet,” which took place at COEX in Seoul on Thursday.

The upcoming film, which is set in the Japanese colonial era, depicts two young writers with two opposite characters. One is a quiet Yoon Dong-ju, played by actor Kang Ha-neul, and the other is an aggressive Song Mong-kyu who is played by actor Park Jung-min.

The movie takes reference from the life of the Korean poet Yoon Dong-ju who died in a Japanese concentration center at the age of 29. His works, which include “Sky, Wind, Star and Poem,” were mostly created behind bars. They are still widely perceived as symbols of protest against Japan’s colonial rules during World War II.

The historical movie was filmed in black and white. It will open in theaters nationwide on Feb. 18.
