YG to coproduce ‘UMF Korea 2016’

YG Entertainment, one of the major agencies in Korea, announced Wednesday it will coproduce “Ultra Music Festival Korea 2016” with UC Korea.

The two companies plan to upgrade the production for the fifth installment of the event.

Ultra Music Festival, well-known as the world’s largest EDM festival, started in 1999, and is held every March in downtown Miami.

Due to its soaring popularity, the festival has also been held in 11 cities around the world, including Ibiza, Sao Paulo and Buenos Aires.

It was first held in Asia, in 2012 in Seoul, and many world famous artists attended the show, including Skrillex, David Guetta, Tiesto and Snoop Dogg.

The upcoming show will be held Jun. 10-12 at Jamsil Sports Complex in Seoul with the participation of over 100 world famous DJs and singers.
