American comedian Jack Black was very focused during the shooting of the MBC variety show “Infinite Challenge,” said the show’s producer Kim Tae-ho.

In a recent interview with local reporters, Kim said that he had initially struggled to come up with content that would allow the Hollywood actor to feel comfortable. He also worried about whether the episode would be entertaining enough for viewers.

“We had only four hours for shooting. It’s a short time to make any fun out of anything. But it turned out that I had nothing to worry about. Jack was very focused on the shooting, and even gave others the opportunity to take breaks. We got the result we wanted,” said Kim.

“It’s nearly impossible to make a 90-minute variety show from a four-hour shooting. So I was obsessed with making this laughable. Jack ended up giving us a very important lesson on comedy,” Kim said, adding that for this episode he went back to the basics of what makes a variety show.

Black will appear in “Infinite Challenge” in an episode that features a “School of Rock” theme. It airs on Jan. 30 at 6:26p.m. (KST).
