Actor Yoon Shi-yoon completed his two-year mandatory military service in the Marine Corps on Wednesday.

The 29-year-old stood in front of military personnel, families, fans and the press, during the discharge ceremony on Wednesday morning.

“Thank you for not forgetting me and coming all the way here,” he said. “It wasn’t easy, but I was able to survive for the past two years, thanks to my fans and fellow soldiers. I will repay (my gratitude) with acting.”

Yoon made his debut in 2009 with popular drama “High Kick through the Roof.” He is best known for his lead roles in “King of Baking, Kim Takgu” and “Flower Boys Next Door.”
