K-pop boy band BigBang topped South Korea's major music chart for 2015 with its hit titled "Bang Bang Bang," its operator said Tuesday.

The yearly chart compiled by the online music service provider, MelOn, found the single to be the most popular song, with BigBang's another two pieces -- "Loser" and "Bae Bae" -- also making it to the top 10 list.

"Bang Bang Bang" was released digitally in June last year as the band's third single, and has mesmerized fans at home and abroad.

At 2015 Mnet Asian Music Awards, the song won the "Song of the Year" title, and its music video clinched the title of the most-watched K-pop video of 2015 on YouTube, drawing more than 100 million views as of last week.

Second place on the 2015 MelOn chart was taken by R&B singer Naul with the song "You From the Same Time," followed by hip hop artist Zion.T's "Eat." (Yonhap)
