Korean actor Lee Byung-hun is set to become the first Korean to be on stage at the Academy Awards, or Oscars, as a presenter.

Lee’s agency BH Entertainment told local media that he was confirmed as a presenter of the 88th annual Academy Awards that will take place Thursday. What he will be presenting hasn’t been determined yet.

“Lee is very much honored to be invited to such a prestigious awarding ceremony,” the agency added.

American movies such as “G.I.Joe: The Rise of Cobra” (2009), “G.I.Joe: Retaliation” (2013), “Red 2” (2013) and Terminator Genisys (2015) featured the 45-year-old Asian veteran. Lee is also to appear on American movies in production such as “Misconduct” and “The Magnificent Seven” later this year.

Recently, Korean movie “Inside Men” (2015), in which Lee acted a gangster seeking revenge for a political bigwig who ditched him, is heading for a milestone 10 million viewers in the domestic market, despite being rated R.
