EXO to dominate silver screen

EXO, returning from an eventful year in 2015 of releasing hit albums, is expecting another remarkable year ahead. But this time, it will be on the silver screen.

EXO members Xiumin, Suho and D.O. will star in four much-anticipated films this year.

D.O., whose real name is Do Kyung-soo, made a successful acting debut in 2014 through film “Cart” and drama “It’s Okay, That’s Love.” This year, he is starring in two flicks.

“Pure Love,” directed by Lee Eun-hee, is a story of friendship growing into first love between Beom-sil, played by Do, and Soo-ok, played by Kim So-hyun, against the backdrop of a rural seaside area.

His second project is drama flick “Older Brother,” with hallyu star Park Shin-hye and actor Jo Jung-suk.

Suho (OSEN)
Suho is making his film debut through the independent film “One Way Trip,” which was screened at the 20th Busan International Film Festival in October. Singer and actor Kim Dong-wan of Shinhwa and rising actors Ryu Jun-yeol and Ji-soo are among the other cast members.

Xiumin (OSEN)
Xiumin will star in periodic comedy flick “Kim Seon-dal,” joining the star-studded cast of Yoo Seung-ho, Jo Jae-hyun, Yeon Woo-jin, Ra Mi-ran and Go Chang-seok. The film is based on folk hero Kim Seon-dal, played by Yoo, who is known as the best swindler in Joseon. Xiumin plays Kim Seon-dal’s younger brother.
