Twice (Naver V app)
Rookie girl group Twice popped up on V app at 7 p.m. to reflect on their remarkable year, broadcasting from their home in their pajamas. Earlier in the year, they appeared on survival-style debut TV program, “Sixteen,” made a debut in October and received a rookie award at a year-end awards show. The girls said that they become closer to each other. “But most importantly, we met you, Once (fan club),” Jihyo said, thanking the fans for their support.

Joo Won (Naver V App)
Actor Joo Won went live from the green room waiting to attend the SBS Drama Awards, a year-end awards show. “For me, the year 2015 was an eventful one,” he said. “I hope you wrap up this year well and have a healthy and happy year next year.” He also said he would turn 30 years old (Korean age) in 2016. “30 years old already. It’s unbelievable,” he said. “But nothing will change. I will continue to engage with you and meet you through acting projects,” he said. Later during the night, he won the most prestigious award, the grand prize, for his titular role in the drama “Yong-pal.” After receiving the award, he popped up on the app again to say thank you to the fans.

Hong Jin-young (Naver V app)
Singer Hong Jin-young also appeared on the app while waiting to appear at the year-end music awards show “MBC Gayo Daejejeon.” She tuned in while eating her dinner, saying she needed to eat to perform well onstage. She kept the camera on as she was getting ready, putting the final touches to her hair and makeup.

2PM (Naver V app)
Boy band 2PM graced the V app from the green room of “MBC Gayo Dajejeon” as well. The six members each took turns and delivered New Year’s greetings. “I hope you will have a happy 2016 with 2PM,” said Junho. “We will work harder so that you will be able to meet us for a long time.”

“A lot of things happened in 2015. It was great to release a new album ‘No.5’ and show the sexy side of the members,” said Jun.K. “I hope you stay warm with the new single ‘Love Letter.’ We are preparing a lot, so be excited and love you very much.” The members also showed off the trophy they received from Naver’s V app for starting a cooking broadcast for the first time on the app.

Apink (Naver V app)
The members of Apink said hi and celebrated racking in 1 million followers on the V app. They are the first girl group to achieve the feat. “We will make an effort and work harder,” said Jung Eun-ji. The girls were dressed in white because they had just performed “Eternal Love,” originally sung by Fin.K.L, on “Gayo Dajejeon.” Apink looked exactly like the iconic 90’s girl group. “Because of our fans, 2015 was filled with laughter,” said Yoon Bo-mi. “I hope to see our fans more often in 2016 and we will try to make more time to do so.”

EXO (Naver V app)
EXO members went live to say “Happy New Year.” All the members went around and sent their New Year greetings. “Happy New Year. I cheer for your life to be full of happiness,” said D.O.

“2016 is the Year of the Monkey,” said Chanyeol, who was born in 1992, the year of the monkey. “Because it’s my year, I will try my best.”
