Boy band EXO has been a pioneer in boosting the K-pop industry‘s influence, even beyond our country, since its debut.

The year 2015 was a year for EXO to gain traction, following the ongoing love and support the group received for “December 2014” last year.

EXO once again proved its steady status by returning with second LP “Exodus” in March, sweeping local music charts and recording huge numbers in sales. The lead track “Call Me Baby” enthralled fans, even nabbing the top spot 18 times on diverse music programs.

Despite the cascade of boy group newcomers, EXO stood firm with their strong fan base.

In June, EXO released the repackaged album “Love Me Right,” selling more than a million copies just two months after the group’s second LP.

The sensational idol celebrated the year-end with the winter special album “Sing for You,” which was unveiled Thursday, with double lead tracks of “Sing for You” and “Unfair.”

EXO, nicknamed “the Record-Making Machine,” even boasted its influence in a local Web drama. “Exo Next Door,” aired via Naver’s TV Cast in April, surpassed 10 million views, setting a new record in the Web drama field.

EXO kicked off their musical career in 2012, but have been embroiled in several controversies revolving around the members‘ withdrawal. Despite the dispute, EXO’s unwavering status in the K-pop industry has been undeniable.
