As a front-runner in the cultural exchange between Korea and China, Lee said, “Cultural exchange of the two nations began to invigorate this year in terms of concerts, movies, soaps and music.”

He added, “In a bid to produce quality joint content, both nations should understand each other’s culture without bias.”

The agency chief also went on to say, “Given the huge economic ripple effects of culture content, it is vital to continue to produce content which can appeal to global viewers.”

“Through the joint project between Korea and China, quality content can be produced with the combination of technology and capital,” he added.

The nation’s largest entertainment agency is currently working with Chinese Internet giant Tencent to produce a joint entertainment program airing in China.

The chief said the company plans to expand the partnership with Chinese entertainment companies to boost cultural ties of the two nations.
