Hallyu star Psy, who shot to fame with notorious international hit “Gangnam Style,” had his third live broadcast and candidly talked about tracks from his upcoming album to be released on Dec. 1.

Psy explained one of his new songs titled “Dream” features what Korean rock legend Shin Hae-chul -- who passed away in October last year due to surgical malpractice -- used to say about life and death. Psy and Shin were close friends.

“(Shin Hae-chul and I) used to visit pubs together and talk about various things. The lyrics include what he used to say to me,” said Psy, adding that as a philosophy major, Shin loved to talk about serious, profound issues like life and death.

“There was one time Hae-chul told me life is like a long dream and we all have to wake up from the dream eventually,” Psy explained, saying the song’s lyrics are in a sense “ghostwritten.”

Later, he moved on to talking about another track titled “Rock’n Roll Baby,” an exciting electronic dance music tune featuring the Black Eyed Peas’ will.i.am.

“I guess I made my fortune. I couldn’t imagine myself working with will.i.am,” said Psy, extending gratitude toward the legendary rapper.

“Many people advised me to go back to the basics. I have, and I will not let my fans down.”

Psy’s seventh EP is slated to hit local shelves on Dec. 1.

K-pop rookie girl group TWICE went live Thursday dressed as schoolchildren at a local kindergarten. The members gamboled around the room like energetic children. Lisping like babies, the girls displayed their lovely “aegyo” on screen.

The members were then divided into two teams and performed a fierce dance battle, through which they all put out powerful dance moves, seeming to forget they were wearing kindergarten uniforms.

Apink jumped onto the V screen playing classic online game “Crazy Arcade.” Up10tion counted down to the group’s new mini album Thursday night, and hip-hop group Epik High had their second live broadcast prior to their return. Singer Ali also went live Thursday eating snacks in her car in the “meok-bang” style.

Naver’s real-time broadcasting app V allows fans to interact with their favorite K-pop stars through live broadcasts. The app is available for Android and iOS. For more information, visit www.vlive.tv.
