FT Island’s lead vocalist Lee Hong-gi, who recently made a successful soloist debut, showed off his friendship with hallyu star Park Shin-hye on JTBC entertainment show “Non-summit” on Monday night.

“I’m her ‘male friend’ literally,” said Lee, laughing. “There are even some news articles referring to me as the best example of a good male friend.”

“Is it even possible to stay ‘friends’ with such a beauty?” asked emcee Jeon Hyun-moo smugly, bringing whole panel to laughter.

When asked what he does with his female friends, the singer said, “Simple. We just hit the booze and play bowling sometimes.”
The singer also said he often gets together with Park Shin-hye, making the panel envy him.

The talk show, featuring debates among non-Korean men on the panel, airs every Monday at 10:50 p.m.
