Ryu Jun-yeol, who became the talk of the town for his performance in popular TV drama “Reply 1988,” appeared on the V app to thank fans on Monday.

“Nowadays I have been very busy shooting the drama ‘Reply 1988,’” said the 29-year-old actor in a clip released on the channel of his label, C-JeS Entertainment. “But thanks to your tremendous support and love on my social media accounts, I am filming in happiness.”

“Our drama is about family’s love, neighbors’ ‘jeong’ ( Korean term referring to deep affection, sympathy or emotional bond) and friend’s warmth,” he said. “I hope you have a warm yearend with ‘Reply 1988.’ I love you.”

In the show, Ryu plays Jung-hwan, a high school student who looks cold and tough on the outside, but who gradually shows his warm and caring side to his crush Deok-sun, played by Hye-ri of Girls’ Day.
