A track titled “Fuckboy” from K-pop singer Jay Park’s latest album “Worldwide” has stirred controversy over its lyrics.

Some netizens claimed that the critical and sarcastic lyrics target Park Jin-young, chief of JYP Entertainment, his former agency as a member of 2PM.

Some parts of the lyric such as “past teacher” and “I have been enjoying my freedom for five years” reportedly refer to Park Jin-young and the period of his departure from the group, respectively.

“Park writes the lyrics for his songs himself. It’s difficult for us to explain the implicit meaning since he is the only one who knows,” said an official from his present agency AMOG.

“He didn’t explain the lyrics to us beforehand. I think it’s best for people to judge according to how they understand it.”

An array of skilled and well-known artists including, Simon D, Tablo, Paloalto and Lil Boy, took park in producing the new 18-track album, which was dropped on Thursday.
