The trio received the Prime Minister’s Commendation at the 2015 Korean Popular Culture and Arts Award held in Seoul for their contribution to the spread of Korean pop culture, or hallyu.

”Thank you so much for inviting us and giving us such an honorable award. We will try harder to contribute to introducing Korean culture worldwide,” member Kim Junsu said.

Thirty artists will be honored this year with several titles, including the Culture Medal, the Presidential Commendation and Minister’s Commendation.
K-pop girl group Girls Day, a recipient of Minister’s Commendation, will perform during the ceremony.
