Fans of South Korean singer and actor Park Yoo-chun have collected about 10 million won and about 7,000 books to open a library on Palgeum Island, South Jeolla Province, under Park’s name, according to his agency, C-JeS Entertainment.

Newly opened Park Yoo-chun Library is for children living on the island wanting to study, read books and watch movies.

A community of their fans was established in September 2010 with members aged over 30. Ever since the establishment, members have been actively helping the underprivileged.

This library is in fact the third such facility. The first and the second Park Yoo-chun library were built in Jangsan-myeon and Heuksando, respectively.
