Korean rapper Psy is returning to the music scene with a new album next month, local reports said on Tuesday.

The artist has reportedly finished shooting the music video for the new title album, which he hopes to follow the popularity of the viral hit “Gangnam Style.”

“The album is either a mini or a regular album,” a source familiar with the matter was quoted as saying in Xports News’ report.

In the upcoming album, Psy is largely expected to focus on his original music style, as he had shown in his early albums, such as “Psy From the Psycho World” and “Sa 2,” both of which ran into trouble by being fined or banned from TV due to “inappropriate content.”

Psy has been pressured to release albums since gaining global stardom with “Gangnam Style.”

“Gentleman” and “Hangover,“ the follow-up tracks to the mega hit, failed to meet fans’ expectations.

Under pressure, Psy scrapped his plan to unleash a new song titled “Daddy” last year and indefinitely postponed his comeback.
