N. Flying

Four-member hip-hop-rock fusion band N. Flying answered fan questions on the sixth episode of their broadcast series, “Let’s Roll.”

One fan asked, “What is the song of your life? Which song made you go into music?”

Drummer Jae-hyun, who is also the younger brother of girl group Rainbow’s Jae-kyung, replied that he had wanted to join a band ever since his sister introduced him to Avril Lavigne’s pop-rock track “Sk8er Boi.” Bassist Kwang-jin listed Bon Jovi as his favorite artist, while guitarist Seung-hyub chose Korean singer-songwriter Lee Juck.

“I was living alone at the time and having a really hard time,” said Seung-hyub. “Then I heard Lee Juck’s music and wanted to become a singer.”

Lead guitarist Cha Hun said he had originally been playing the drums when he heard Guns N’ Roses’ “Don’t Cry,” and switched to guitar.

Eric Nam

The singer sang “Heaven’s Door,” a track from his 2013 album “Cloud 9,” and the 2015 release “I’m OK.” He also opened some presents fans had sent over to the agency’s office, including a stuffed elephant and passport holder.

“A lot of younger kids use slang these days,” the two girls said. “We use it too, but we’ll make more efforts to use proper Korean from now on.”
