[V Report] GOT7 drops ‘Mad’

GOT7 turned on the V app Monday at 11:30 p.m., just before the release of its new EP “Mad,” with the lead track “If You Do” at midnight.

Seven members were hyped for their new releases. The members asked each other questions about the album and the music video for 30 minutes before unveiling the songs. They also gave a sneak peek into the dance moves and received comments on the spot from the viewers to read them aloud.

“The album is about boys, not quite men, getting angry and being unable to hold back their temper,” said Yugyeom when the fans asked about the album’s theme.

When the clock turned midnight, the members watched the music video together and celebrated the release.

“The fourth EP ‘Mad’ is finally released,” said Junior. “All the previous albums are special, but this one, we put a lot of effort in a short period of time. So I hope you enjoy it.”

“We all look very different for this album in comparison to the previous ones,” said BamBam.

The members promised that they would give a special gift to their fans if their segment surpassed 10 million hearts. The show garnered a whopping 17 million hearts. GOT7 thanked the viewers, and as the members promised, they said they’d prepare a special stage during the showcase on Tuesday.

The showcase will be held at M Stage at Gangnam Station at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, where GOT7 will perform the new songs and live stream their show on V app. The members will tune in at 7:40 p.m. to meet with the viewers ahead of the event.

At 10:30 p.m., Yubin of Wonder Girls went live for her regular show “Yubin and Sunmi’s You & Me.” Sunmi was not present as she was spending time with her family for the Chuseok holiday.

During the show, Yubin revealed what was in her purse, including a make-up bag, wallet, earphone, car keys, perfume and an old movie ticket.

She then talked about she cosmetics items she uses. For perfume, she uses Lys 41 by American perfume brand Le Labo. “I can smell oil and flowers,” she said. “It doesn’t feel heavy and I feel happy when I spray it on.”

Yubin also carries around different lip products, including Dolce Vita lipstick by Nars and a lip tint from Yves Saint Laurent. She offered tips on how to stay fit, have great hair and some fashion suggestions.

Kang Min-hyuk of CNBLUE shared his relationship bucket list at 11 p.m. on Monday. “I have not dated for a long time, so when I was making a list, there were so many things I wanted to do when I get a girlfriend in the future,” Kang said. “First, though, I need a girlfriend.”

The 24-year-old wants to walk around the Han River holding hands with his girlfriend and eat fried chicken and beer.

“I want to go up Namsan Mountain together and enjoy Seoul’s night view,” he said. “I also want to go to an amusement park together and walk around eating ice cream.”

“All the things I want to do are at places where there are lots of people,” he said.

Earlier at 6:30 p.m., five-members of Boys Republic went live for the “Rising Idol” broadcast. The members were all wearing colorful hanbok to celebrate Chuseok. The members played the Korean traditional board game “yunnori” during the show. But the boys made the game more interesting by setting up a new rule in which they had to complete different, often funny, missions to move the tokens on the board.

Also on Monday, Girl’s Day released clips from its promotional event in Japan. And solo singer Park Bo-ram shared footage of her shopping trip in Hongdae area, trying on different clothes and hats.
