On Aug. 1, the real-time broadcasting V app was launched, allowing fans to watch their favorite stars go live and interact with them.

Fifty days down the road, the app now boasts a stellar lineup of channels with more than 50 K-pop acts participating in the broadcast.

Among an array of shows, what are some of the most talked-about, viral clips to appear on the app?

1. Big Bang’s G-Dragon and Taeyang

Big Bang, which has the most followers on the app with 1 million fans, has rolled out many fun broadcasts, highlighting members’ humor and charm.

The five members kicked off their individual broadcasts consecutively on V in the month of September. As of Thursday, G-Dragon, Taeyang, T.O.P and Seungri have gone live for their special segments. Daesung will be the last to go, appearing Wednesday, Sept. 30.

G-Dragon’s broadcast, titled “1+1=GD” was extremely popular, garnering a total of 1.4 million views. In the broadcast, G-Dragon showed his fans a more laid back side of the A-lister. He even revealed he doesn’t have a girlfriend during the show.

Taeyang’s broadcast, which aired Sept. 9, was all about making his fans happy. He visited the residence of a V app viewer, ate a home-cooked meal together with her, gave her gifts, chatted with her family and sang for her. The show, titled “I’m Going Now to Eat,” attracted 842,162 views.

2. “BTS Gayo”

Boy band BTS, the second most popular in the app with 781,000 fans, has actively interacted with fans since the app’s launch. They regularly stream special shows, such as “BTS Gayo” or “Run BTS!,” and go live and check in from various countries when they are abroad to interact with their fans.

Among an array of clips, “BTS Gayo,” where the seven members play various game under the theme of learning new pop songs, is extremely popular, garnering around 400,000 views each clip. The seven members’ down-to-earth and hilarious characteristics have attracted viewers to tune in to their shows.

3. Girls’ Generation’s “Lion Heart Bowling Competition”

Popular Girls’ Generation was also beloved on the app when the group went live for its week-long show to celebrate the release of its new full-length album “Lion Heart.”

On Aug. 25, the girls aired the final episode of the “Lion Heart Bowling Competition,” where the eight members held a bowling tournament. The broadcast attracted more than 460,000 viewers, proving the never-ending popularity of the girl group.

4. “Apink Meokbang Talk”

Among girl groups, six-member Apink is one of the most popular groups in the app with 522,626 fans. Apink regularly hosts a special show each week. Among many broadcasts, “Apink Meokbang Talk” was one of the most fun and talked-about shows, where the members continuously devoured various foods from spicy chicken feet to tteokbokki, cake and bingsu, while on air.

The girls received favorable comments from the viewers for their lovely, comical characteristics.
