K-pop girl quartet 4Minute has been selected as the official promoter of the Hollywood film “Maze Runner: Scorch Trials” in South Korea.

The movie, a sequel to 2014 “The Maze Runner,” is slated to release on Sept. 17.

4Minute will participate in various events to promote the movie, kicking it off with Thursday’s red carpet event at COEX Megabox in Seoul.

Present at the event will be the film’s main actors Thomas Brodie-Sangster, known for his role in the popular American TV series “The Game of Thrones,” and Lee Ki-hong, the Korean-American actor who is recently gaining prominence.

“The Maze Runner” series feature a group of youths thrown into a giant survival game against a mystery organization called “Wicked.” Its first installment sold 2.8 million tickets here.
