Actress Park Han-byul is getting mixed responses as she pulls off the role of an insolent mistress in new weekend drama “I Have a Lover.”

Park takes on the role of Kang Sul-li, a cheeky young woman who falls in love with married man Choi Jin-uhn.

Park’s character does not have any reservations about confronting the man’s wife.

Her extremely realistic acting is provoking both awe and ire as some viewers are turned off by her role as a homebreaker.

In the latest episode airing Sunday, Sul-li kisses Jin-uhn while trapped inside a malfunctioning elevator. Jin-uhn’s wife Hae-kang coincidentally witnesses everything from the control room.

Later when Hae-kang confronts Sul-li, the latter stands unashamed and retorts, “Why can I not like him?” and “So what if I cross the line?”

“I Have a Lover” airs Saturday and Sunday at 10 p.m. on SBS.
