Local cosmetic firm AmorePacific said it signed a deal with Seoul Design Foundation to sponsor Seoul Fashion Week -- a bi-annual series of global fashion business events.

The official title of the event is set to be changed to HERA Seoul Fashion Week for the March and October editions next year.

Since adding brand names to the title is unprecedented in the events history over the past 15 years, the foundation expects synergies from the cosmetic firm.

“We are happy to join hands with Seoul Fashion Week amid a growing interest in Korean beauty and fashion overseas,” said Lee Eun-im, AmorePacific’s Hera division chief.
