Actress Kim Tae-hee topped the list of the 20 most beautiful actresses in South Korea, according to a survey conducted by tvN entertainment program “Myeongdan Gonggae,” which was aired on Monday.

“It’s almost like Jesus’ second coming; once Kim entered the lecture room, everyone followed her,” said Lee Ha-nui, Kim’s alumna at Seoul National University and titleholder of the 50th Miss Korea beauty pageant in 2006.

The second place went to 44-year-old Lee Young-ae, who rose to stardom with the hallyu drama series “Dae Jang Geum (2003).” She is set to star in upcoming TV drama ““Saimdang, the Herstory” to feature the dual role of a female cultural icon from Joseon Dynasty and present day college art instructor.

Jun Ji-hyun ranked third, with her latest action flick “Assassination” crossing the 10 million-viewer mark on Aug. 15.

The others who followed included Song Hye-kyo, Han Ga-in, Kim Hee-sun, Son Ye-jin, Ha Ji-won, Park Bo-young and Han Ji-min, in that order.
