Sulli will leave South Korean girl group f(x) to focus on acting, her management agency said Friday.

SM Entertainment said it has decided to "honor her wish to leave the group and concentrate on her acting" after having a discussion with the 21-year-old.

The announcement put an end to rampant rumors that predicted her exit.

Sulli has kept a low profile since July last year when malicious rumors about her relationship with Choiza of hip-hop group Dynamic Duo surfaced on the Internet. Rumors ranged from her slacking off at work to spend time with the rapper, to more egregious ones that said she slathered her feces on the wall of an airplane lavatory after getting high on drugs.

SM Entertainment said f(x) will continue as a four-member group comprised of Victoria, Luna, Amber and Krystal.

"We will actively support the activities of not just f(x) but also Sulli," the agency said. (Yonhap)
