K-pop boy group Super Junior member Choi Siwon passed the exam to serve as a conscripted policeman, his agency announced Thursday.

The Military Manpower Administration will deliver Choi the notice of military duty before the end of August.

Choi is expected to serve his mandatory National Service after he finishes shooting for the new MBC drama “She was Pretty,” which will air in September. His agency, SM Entertainment, said, “Choi will try his best to fulfill the duty as soon as he finishes the drama.”

Choi debuted in 2005 and has gained popularity not only as a member of Super Junior, but also as an actor both in and out of the country. Recently, he appeared on MBC’s “Infinite Challenge” as one of the candidates for the “sixth man.”
