Vocal trio SG Wannabe will release a new album in August and return to the music scene, ending a four-year-hiatus.

The group’s label CJ E&M said Wednesday that SG Wannabe -- consisting of Kim Yong-jun, Kim Jin-ho and Lee Seok-hun -- will unveil a new album “The Voice” on Aug. 19.

Composer Jo Young-soo, who is behind SG Wannabe’s past hit songs “Partner for Life” and “La La La,” composed the upcoming songs of the album.

“It’s an album that anyone can identify with and is satisfactory for the members,” Jo said in a press statement.

“During the time when we were promoting ourselves individually, we cheered for each other and maintained a good friendship,” said Yong-jun on the group’s Facebook on Wednesday. “For me, SG Wannabe is a must place to go back. As a leader of the group, I have been waiting for this moment to return as a group.”

SG Wannabe, which made a debut in 2004 with single “Timeless,” rose to stardom with hit ballads “La La La,” “While You Live” “Partner for Life,” “Sin and Punishment” and “As We Live.”

In 2011, the group left the music scene following the death of former member Chae Dong-ha, who committed suicide after battling depression. During the hiatus, member Jin-ho released his solo album while Yong-jun and Seok-hun completed their mandatory military service.

In January, the trio joined again under the new label CJ E&M and marked their return.
