Actor Hwang Jeong-min is set to play a role in “Gunhamdo,” or “Battleship Island,” under director Ryoo Seung-wan.

Local media said the film will involve agents of an American spy group and Korea’s independence army trying to evacuate conscripted Koreans.

This will be the third collaboration between Hwang and Ryoo, who also worked together on “The Unjust” (2010) and “Veteran,” released earlier this year.

The film is scheduled to begin shooting early next year.
