K-pop boy band Big Bang’s July EP “D” will contain two songs, “If You” and “Sober,” YG Entertainment announced over the weekend.

“If You,” described as the “saddest song Big Bang has ever put out,” was written by group leader G-Dragon, together with composers PK and Dee.P who respectively oversaw the group’s hit “Monster” and Taeyang’s “Eyes, Nose, Lips.”

“Sober” will have a contrastingly merry and summery beat, with lyrics written by producer Teddy and members G-Dragon and T.O.P., and the tune co-composed by CHOICE 37.

The single will be released online at midnight on July 1 and hit off-line stores on July 7.

Prior to the release, Big Bang will hold a live Starcast on Naver on June 30 at 11 p.m.

The quintet will use the Starcast to comment on the success so far of its project album, “MADE,” from which songs are released one EP each month.

Fans are invited to leave questions and comments on the Starcast page (http://entertain.naver.com/starcast/live?id=1003878). The group members will read and answer the questions during the live online event.

Meanwhile, Big Bang performed as part of its concert tour in the Chinese city of Dalian on Friday and is slated to perform in Wuhan on Sunday.
