Kim and IU -- who is originally a K-pop singer -- starred in the KBS TV drama “The Producers,” which enjoyed a successful monthlong run before its close Saturday.
Both attended the “Northern Limit Line” film premiere, an upcoming naval film about the Second Battle of Yeonpyeong between North and South Korea in 2002.
IU, who played a domineering pop star in the popular TV drama, wore a black dress and carried a pastel pink handbag to the film premiere.
Kim went for a markedly more casual appearance, wearing a dark top-and-pants outfit and a baseball cap turned backward -- while sporting his characteristic cheeky grin.
Other stars at the film premiere included K-pop singers Minho from SHINee and Sulli from f(x).
