K-pop singer G-Dragon’s fondness for fashion was evident from his trainee days, judging by a recently released photo from his past.

G-Dragon’s agency’s chief, Yang Hyun-suk, shared the old photo Friday on Instagram.

The photo shows a young G-Dragon, whose real name is Kwon Ji-yong, sporting a mini-bun hairstyle -- which was popularized by popstars like Gwen Stefani in the late 1990s.

Yang captioned the photo with the words “The beginning” in capital letters.

G-Dragon, 26, is a member of boy band Big Bang, which debuted to great success in 2006.

Big Bang is currently in Shanghai, where the group kicked off a three-day concert series Friday as part of an ongoing world tour to promote the album “MADE.”
