5678On Monday evening, K-pop idol sextet 2PM went live on an online telecast to mark the release of its fifth regular EP: “No. 5.”

For an hour and a half the members interacted with fans who left real-time messages through the portal Naver on which they were broadcasting.

They performed their new lead single “My House” for the first time during the telecast.

Jun. K, who composed “My House” himself, said, “I wrote this song last year. I tried to candidly express the feelings of a man who is strongly drawn to a woman. I spent a lot of time thinking about how this song will come across to female fans.”

On a tangent from the song title, members of 2PM spoke about their houses. Junho said his mom was the most recent visitor to his house, Nichkhun’s favorite place at home was the laundry room and Wooyoung recently installed a new burglar alarm at home.

Jun. K said that if 2PM members were to form a family, “The father has to have a good income as a breadwinner, so that would be Nichkhun. Wooyoung cleans the house spotless so he would be the maid. Junho energizes the home atmosphere so he’s the cat. Taecyeon has readily disposable charms so he must be a nu-na (an older sister) and Changsung feels like a dog.”

The sextet came back Monday after a seven-month hiatus following their fourth EP, “Go Crazy,” released last September.

They will perform on air again Thursday on the “M! Countdown” music show.
