Wax figures of the popular K-pop duo TVXQ will go on display for the first time in South Korea this week, the local office of a global museum of wax dolls said Friday.

According to Madame Tussauds' Seoul branch, wax figures of the duo's U-Know Yunho and Max Changmin will be installed at its special exhibition hall located inside Lotte World in southern Seoul on Saturday.

First unveiled in Shanghai last December, the dolls had since been on tour in Beijing and Hong Kong.

The museum says it took three months to complete them with the help of some 20 experts. The figures' production cost reached 250 million won ($225,204) per piece.

Besides them, some 22 wax figures of Hollywood and Korean stars such as Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Bruce Willis and Song Seung-hon will be displayed in the exhibition that will run till Oct. 31, according to the museum. (Yonhap)
