K-pop group Big Bang’s live chat Monday night gathered 300,000 real-time viewers, for whom the five members answered various questions up to the hour of their EP “A” release.

The stars exclaimed in delighted surprise when the number of viewers hit 300,000, noting the rare traffic volume at the late hour, nearing midnight.

The five took this opportunity to talk to their fans, who have aged with them over the years since Big Bang’s debut in 2006.

G-Dragon, the leader of the group, mournfully said to the fans in a joke, “Are you happily married?”

T.O.P., the eldest member of Big Bang, thanked the fans for their longstanding love for the group and promised that Big Bang will follow in their fans’ example by continuing to produce music for a prolonged time. He urged the fans to stay with the group.

As the countdown clock struck midnight, the first song of “A,” “Bang Bang Bang,” had its music video premier on the live broadcast, with the Big Bang members sitting down and watching concurrently with the fans.

“We Like 2 Party,” the second song of the EP, will have its music video release four days later on Friday. Big Bang members said they filmed the M/V in Jejudo Island, and that they decided to delay the unveiling until Friday as it would suit the laidback party song better than Monday.

The digital tracks of “A” are available on all major online charts.
