KARA’s Hara will become the first KARA member to release a solo album this summer.

Hara told reporters about her upcoming solo album at a showcase for KARA‘s seventh EP, ”In Love,“ at Blue Square in Yongsan-gu, Seoul on Tuesday.

”I’m working on the last stages of the album,“ she said. ”I‘m hoping to show you a new, more improved side of me.“

Hara said that the solo album was her idea.

”Gyuri and Seungyeon had released songs on their own, whether online or through soundtracks,“ she said. ”I asked to have the chance to release a solo album so I could show a different side to me.“

Hara‘s solo promotions will come after KARA wraps up their group promotions with ”Cupid.“

KARA’s seventh EP, ”In Love,“ including the title track ”Cupid,” dropped on Tuesday.
